NOTICE: K1N NAVASSA

Current QSL status for K1N: QSLs arrived from our printer WZ8Plast week. The SJDXA QSL team will now START the processing. Tonight, we passed out batches of QSL labels and supplies to our QSL team. Over the coming weeks they will process and mail OQRS Direct requests first. Please be patient. It will take a month or more to get QSLs out. Do NOT expect any cards to start hitting the mail until I post that info here. Watch this page for updates.

We had our first incoming MAIL opening party at the N2OO/KF2BQ QTH on March 14th. We had 14 SJDXA QSL team members present. We took 7 hours to open and sort 14 mail trays of QSL mail (which included some of my non-K1N QSL requests). Subsequently, we opened another full tray at the SJDXA meeting on March 25th. We opened another two trays of mail at the SJDXA meeting on April 22nd.

LoTW: An LoTW upload was made for all "pre-depature" advance early donors (donations made pre-January 30) as a THANK YOU for their early support. Most of the big expenses must be paid during the planning stages of a DXpedition like K1N. These expenses included a big helicopter contract deposit and shipping container freight charges, among others. Donations in advance is what makes DXpeditions like K1N possible. Another LoTW upload was made for all who donated direct to the DXpedition (not OQRS) through March 25, and again through April 12th.

FLASH!!

An LoTW upload was made for all who requested a QSL via DIRECT OQRS through March 25th, and again through April 22nd. Note: This was only for QSO's that were requested in OQRS (Direct). So, if you made 10 QSO's and only requested one QSO for your OQRS QSL, then we only uploaded the one QSO you requested. We plan to do further uploads of DIRECT QSL OQRS requests about once a week from now on. No set schedule. Thank you for supporting this extraordinary DX adventure!

Many have asked for only an LoTW upload and no card. This will not happen. Our sponsors deserve recognition for their support. As such, the mailed QSL card will include appropriate recognition of the corporate, foundation, club and individual sponsors.
