K4ZW has scheduled a Topband webinar for Thursday, September 11 at 9 PM EDT (Friday, September 12 at 01 UTC). The subject is: "A Long Overdue Review of Gray Line Propagation on the Low Bands." It is being presented by the World Wide Radio Operators Foundation and presenter K9LA. He will trace the origin of (knowledge of) gray line propagation and theorize on a problem with the current explanation that propagation along the terminator is efficient. He will provide an alternative explanation.

I don't know for sure, as I haven't spoken to Carl, but it's likely that the "alternative explanation" for gray line propagation is the one I discussed in my VK9CZ presentation to the club last year. (I got the idea from Carl.) In any event, this webinar is sure to be worth the time of every low-band DXer.
