[SFDXA] November SFDXA Meeting

The Club Meeting this past Wednesday was attended by 36 Members and 
Guests. Plenty on the schedule  for this meeting.

The Club was Honored to receive an Award from the ARRL for 35 years of 
Affiliation. The Award was presented by Mary KI4IQZ. Receiving the Award 
was Founder and Charter Member Norm Alexander W4QN, who Formed the Club 
in 1974 from an informal group called the Florida DX Club.

Miguel KJ4YVN came to us from the Miami Dade Radio Club to update us on 
all the changes for this years Miami Hamfest and Maker Faire.
Don N4TZH, Pete N8PR and myself, will be the organizers for the event in 
January. Feel free to volunteer and be a part.

We Welcome New Full Member Keith K4ROX to the Club.

Announcements on a New HF Tower at the hospital and Donations to the 
upcoming Navassa DXpedition.

Congratulations and Thank You, to all those who Volunteer and step 
forward, to be in charge of the Well Being and Future of the SFDXA.

The Main Presentation for the evening was a very entertaining and 
interesting report on W1T from one of the US Teams for WRTC this summer. 
The Olympics of Ham Radio. Dan W4UH and Julio AD4Z operated as W1T and 
told us about their adventures and their experiences. What they did 
right and mistakes they made that they won't do again. We loved it. 
Thanks Dan and Julio.

We hope to see you all at the next meeting in January 2015.
