>> Greetings from Israel,
>> Hope all is well with yourself.
>> Traveling alot. In Jerusalem now.
>> Brought X1M 4 w transceiver and the reception is excellent from Asia, Europe and Africa. Worked a couple of stations in Asia and Europe. Very few US heard.
>>
>> I had my ICOM 718 on the shelf at home and when I tested it just before packing there was a rf power out problem so did not bring it. Big mistake - 60w is a lot better than the 4 w. I can not believe the amount of activity in Asia compared to what I see on DX summit and of course from the States. 20m is open almost 24 hours a day to somewhere from Israel. Some of the locations in Israel are all 'downhill'.
>>
>> Been very busy with consulting so not much time for other things.
>>
>> This is quite some country. For a small country it still feels huge or the distances feel huge. Lots going on here; some not too good in terms of neighbors to the North, East, and West. But life moves on. Regards to all

My pleasure to share. I have logged many European stations and Asia is the strongest. I am hearing low power stations that I am sure that I don't hear from the States.
Tomorrow is my last day here. I will try to make a few more contacts before I shut down.I have called many but only two contacts and they got my call incorrect. I am using 4X/K2RR. Several stations get the K2RR alright but have a hard time with the 4X. I can't figure out why.
I have taken lots of digital images and will make a collage when I return.
Take care and be well.
Rich
