13/06/2014:  A team from ERASD (The Egyptian Radio Amateurs Society For
Development) will again be active from Nelson's Island (IOTA AF-109) between
13-20th June 2014. The team will also activate the Nelson's Island
lighthouse (WLOTA 2694, Admiralty E6168) during the same time frame. Plans

14/06/2014:  Mark, K2QO and Paul, W2TAU will be out for the ARRL June VHF
Contest as K2QO/R. Look for them on the lower 4 bands. Here is the plan.
Times are local and approximate based on band conditions, rate, etc:
Saturday - FN22rr from 2-5pm; FN23nd from 7-10pm. Sunday - Mobile in FN23,
22, 13, 12 from 9am-noon; FN13gb from 1-2pm; FN03xc from 3-4pm; FN12au from
4-6pm; and FN02vu from 7-11pm. They have about 100W on each of the lower 4
bands and if they get really frisky we may also have 903MHz, 1, 2 and 3G.

14/06/2014:  Dana, VE3KU, will participate in the ARRL June VHF Contest from

14/06/2014:  Russell, VE3OIL, plans to rove during the ARRL June VHF Contest
(14-16 June) as VE3OIL/R. He expects to have all of his gear running, 50 MHz

Island (EU-120, WLOTA 1997) between June 15-20, 2014. GB2BLE is the special
event callsign employed by South Bristol ARC during their annual pilgrimage
to Lundy Island in the Bristol Channel. Activity is planned on 80-6m + VHF,

16/06/2014:  Operators Andrey R6MG, Yuri R7MR, Oleg RK3AW, Alex RU0LM, Serge
RX0F and Vlado UA0LCZ will be active as RI0F from IOTA group AS-062 on
16-26th June, 2014. Plans are to activate Anuchina Island (AS-062, RRA
RR-15-06 (New One!), RDA SL-24, WW Loc. QN33AI). Anuchina is an uninhabited
island in the Habomai Islands sub-group of the Kuril Islands chain. It is
also part of the Kuril'ski State Nature Reserve (WWFF RFF-054), Sakhalin
oblast. Trans-shipment base is planned on Kunashire Island (AS-025,
RR-15-05, WW Loc. QN33JT). QRV on the HF bands using CW, SSB and Digi-modes.

19/06/2014:  Dave, W9DR, plans a 6 Meter Only Dxpedition to the island of
Grenada (NA-024, WLOTA 0718) using the callsign J38DR from 19th June until
2nd July 2014. Dave reports - "I will be on the north shore of the island
(WW Loc. FK92EF) for a great launch angle to North America and Europe over
the Atlantic Ocean. Also, South America will be workable too. Operating
frequency will be 50.115 Mhz. SSB, 50.115.6 Mhz. CW and a breakable Beacon
(50.115.6 Mhz.) running during no stations heard. Again I will be using a
FlexRadio SDR-1500 driving my HB solid state water-cooled amplifier into a 5

19/06/2014:  Special Event - Commemorating the 75th anniversary of the
flight from Moscow to the forced landing on Miscou Island, New Brunswick.
The New Brunswick division of the Canadian Aviation Historical Society will
be hosting a commemorative ceremony on Miscou Island (IOTA NA-068, CIsA
NB-002) at the Miscou Island Lighthouse (ARLHS CAN-320, CCG 1264.7,
Admiralty H1552, WLOTA 0262), located at the most easterly tip of Miscou
Island, on June 19, 2014. The International Repeater Group will be operating
as VX9MOSKVA from 1500UTC, June 19 for a minimum of 48 hours using CW and

  The team that brought you VK9X/K7CO are proud to announce a DXpedition to
Timor-Leste (OC-148, WLOTA 0019). 4W/K7CO will operate from 19-31 October,
QRV 80-10 SSB and CW. Participation in the CQWW DX SSB Contest. The team is

4W/HB9FLX, TIMOR-LESTE -
  "Being on an official Delegation Mission from the Swiss Asian Chamber of
Commerce to Timor-Leste, I use the last days after the mission is completed
to operate Ham Radio here in Timor Leste.
   The QTH is in Liquica at the Black Rock Beach. I will operate from 10th
to 14th of June 2014, but not all the time, will also enjoy some time off.
Rig used is a YAESU FT-817, max. power 5 Watt, with either a Buddipole
Antenna or a tuned endfed random wire. Operation only in SSB Mode." Further
