[SFDXA] [FCG] W1AW/4

Remember that if you operate on a frequency that a 'guest' operator is not licensed for, he then is considered a "third party", and can not contact countries that we do not have 3rd party agreements.  It is in the rules.

Dumb question - Work anyone including DX or basically restrict to US? I know 80/75m very well having spent more hours than I want to think about operating on it. If one operates on:

1. 3790 - It will annoy a regular net that meets on 3789 every day for 2 hours (G4PKP and group of Europeans)
2. 3799 - It will be a little difficult because of the group (Puerto Rico and Florida) that are on almost 24 hours per day on 3803.
3. 3792-3797 - It will take up the DX window and there will be a number of dx'ers who will object to the non-dx contacts and might even jam.
4. Below 3789 - and it is luck of the draw in terms of what group is on
5. Above 3803 and it will require cross frequencies into the dx window which will bring in continental US stations that will annoy the DX crowd.

Fortunately or unfortunately depending on your viewpoint, the dx window (3790-3800) is less populated these days.

I am definitely open to it and am also signed up for Wednesday evening on 80 cw.

Rich, K2RR (K2 Rarely Right)

My  thanks to all who have signed up for W1AW/4

It looks like we  will have lots of fun.

However, no one was brave enough to sign up for  75 M SSB any time for the
week.

If there is someone who wants to brave  the idiots who QRM others on 75
SSB,  Please let me know

The  whole week is open right now.

I will be getting out more info on  individual opeators next weekend with
some timely tips and a list of your  spots.

Thanks again and 73,
