Hi Norm:
Thanks for all of you folks in SFDXA for putting this out on your reflector.
I was at a NIDXA Board Meeting until late last night. I am happy to report that we are full speed ahead for a great W9DXCC Convention. There is a lot of excitement in the air and all hands of the NIDXA are on deck to really put on a FB show!
We have a new venue this year that I think is at least 3 dB better than the old one at the Holiday Inn. My wife and I stayed there at the Hyatt one night earlier this summer for a wedding. The room was clean, fresh and comfortable and the food fantastic! The buffet that they had for after the wedding Sunday morning really rocked (speaking as a connoisseur of all things buffet!)
We are steps from the Woodfield Mall (much akin to the Adventura Mall, for example to keep the XYL happy) and a short cab or shuttle ride from O'Hare Airport (ORD)
The program is all set and should be an action packed day from morning until night. Jack W9MU and his gang are throwing down what looks to be another great DX university program on Friday.
In closing, this is sort of a leap in faith for us...... We have the ability to grow this event to the size of Visalia and do so quite easily. We can't do this unless we have DX'ers from all around the world attending. I really hope that a bunch of the SFDXA crew are able to come up to Chicago for the Convention. You all won't be disappointed.
Feel free to call or email any of us here in Chicago for further. Or better yet, go to http://www.w9dxcc.com to sign up!

President, NIDXA
