[SFDXA] 30 years not that long ago...

I’ve always enjoyed DXing, but quite often in the early years as a ham I would work a station, and never send a card.

Looking at my log recently, I found a few contacts which were missing a confirmation for old QSOs that I either never sent a card, or never received one. One of them was YV0AA, Isla De Aves. I worked them during a DXpetition there almost 30 years ago in 1984.

According to Wikipedia: "Aves Island is a particularly rare amateur radio "entity", under the ITU prefix YV0. A 2006 expedition by operators to the island required 14 years of planning. Though one member suffered a fatal heart attack, over 42,000 contacts were made during their week-long stay.”

I missed that one in 2006, as my log shows a total of 4 contacts between 2001-2004, and none during 2005-2007.

I sent an email to the address on QRZ.com asking if I was in the log and if I could get one back. After a positive response I sent a card, and just today I received a very old looking one back!
