Some of the credit DXCC records that do NOT show a call is because the info
was not transferred from the paper records to the computer records at the
time that ARRL went to the LOTW/computerized system. I have a couple of
records like that, as well.
THere really is no good way to find the info, since the paper records are
not available to check any longer.

Thanks for going to the trouble to give me such a thorough explanation,
Norm.
I have just come from LOTW. In the awards section, it gives me a listing of
my 353 credited entities. For some entities the call, date, mode and band
are specified. For some entities, as you said, the call sign is missing, or
the band is missing, etc. I have the cards and log data in paper logs, but
digging all that out seems like a major time consuming nightmare. I do also
have the issue of having used 3 different calls over the years.
Maybe I will attack this thing from the angle of just trying to sort out 20
entities a week, or more if I have the time. Eventually I will get it all
into Club Log.
I will be digging into it as time allows. I thank you and Bill for your
help.

John

Your total would be a great help. The process is easy once you have your
records in an electronic format (ADIF). DXbase can produce a ADIF file
which can be uploaded to Clublog, and they will extract the number of
countries worked/confirmed. However if you have some entities in paper logs
that are not also in the electronic log they will have to be put into
electronic form. But only those that represent a 'new one'. Be sure to
include deletions.
Another source is the LoTW files. If you are a LoTW user you should be able
to download your confirmed record in electronic form. There is a potential
problem however and that is old ARRL DX records were put into the LoTW
database giving you credit, but they did not identify the call or mode
(except Mixed or ph) or band. I think Clublog requires those details. But
if you have the cards, you can create that information.
The downloaded LoTW data can be integrated with the DXbase (ADIF format) to
create a combined database. (Dupes can be eliminated). If you imported this
into DXLAB Suites logging program dupes will be dropped. Also different
calls you may have used can be tracked.
The other problem is what call is associated with your records. Both LoTW
and Clublog need to know what your call was for each entity credited. They
get combined, but I am sure they are reported separately. So you need to
match any previous calls to the entities.
Club log is a very good service, and one of the benefits is your records
submitted are checked, and a report is given back to you and you may be
surprised at the mistakes it finds. Mistakes like a 0 (zero) instead of an
O (oh), or I or l (el) instead of a one, etc. Then there are bunches of
statistics that you can play with once your data is entered. My logging
program DXLAB Suite automatically uploads my contacts to LoTW and Clublog.
It will also import/convert DXBase files and then you take advantage of its
features. DXLab is free and support is outstanding.

Bill, I have 353 mixed confirmed of which 340 are current. I would be happy
to contribute them to the cause if it would help the club standing, but
don't have a clue where to begin!!
Many, but nowhere near all are in LOTW. Many, but nowhere near all are in
my old DXBase log program on an old computer and many, but nowhere near all
are in paper logs. From your e-mail, I take it that Sebastian would be a
place for me to start. I will drop him a line after I get a better idea of
how many are where, etc.

League
In the latest Club League standings, SFDXA is tied for first place with the
Carolina DX Association, each club with an average of 300 DXCCs for each
team member. Hot on our heels are the Kansas City DX Club and the Northern
Illinois DX Association, each with 299. See:
http://www.clublog.org/clubchart.php
Team members, please upload your latest log, especially if you have recently
added any new DXCCs. SFDXA members not yet on the SFDXA team, please feel
free to join, go to:
http://www.clublog.org
If you only have a paper log, Sebastian W4AS has graciously offered to
convert to an uploadable log at no charge.
