We Still Need Amateur Radio Operators !

"Home of the Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade" Winterfest is the
top 20th Parade in the World; with over 50,000 parades in the United States
alone, this is a huge international honor which places Winterfest in the
prestigious company of the Macy's, Madrigals, Rose Bowl and Disney Parades.
In addition, Winterfest was just named by Readers Digest as "100 Best in
America" which lists the top events in the United States. More than
1,000,000 cheering spectators along the 12 mile route have transformed the
SEMINOLE HARD ROCK WINTERFEST BOAT PARADE into not only the largest,
one-day, live audience of any event in Florida, but also the seventh largest
one-day spectator event in the country! From the New River, the parade's
traditional 100-plus boats, decorated in all manner of Christmas cheer, will
proceed north up the Intracoastal Waterway to their traditional destination:
Lake Santa Barbara in Pompano Beach.

Time is drawing close for the 2013 Annual Winterfest Boat Parade. I need
Amateur volunteers for bridge positions and other assignments along the New
River. By volunteering, you get front row seats to the Winterfest Boat
Parade. This event is shown in many different countries with over 80 MILLION
VIEWERS.

December 14th is the annual Fort Lauderdale Winterfest Boat Parade. I
will need one Amateur Radio operator on each side of the 7 bridges
throughout the parade and other positions along the Parade route.
Also if you or a friend who owns a boat and wants to be a security boat
operator for a better front row seat on the Parade route, then contact me
too.

In December , there will be a CONTROL BOAT/HAM RADIO dinner meeting for
our volunteers and after the Parade, (date to be announced) we will have a
super volunteer party.

All you need is a handheld with PL capability. An extra fully charged spare
battery, a headset and the desire to have fun. You will have a front row
seat to the parade since all the parade boats (all 100 of them) will pass
right through your Bridge.

For all bridge positions, you can bring one friend, wife OR husband to keep
you company.

PLEASE PASS THIS MEMO ON TO OTHER AMATEURS AND OTHER RADIO CLUBS.
