PIRACY
On March 24 & 25 2012 a station appeared on the band  signing TO4E, and 
sending as QTH Europa Island, AF  009.

Would you note that since the genuine TO4E  dxpedition to Europa in 2003 
no, but no activity has been authorized from this  island, and of course 
there's no activity in this  moment.

The block of prefix used in 2003 is no longer in use. ;  For Europa 
since four years the block of prefix is FT5Exx and no licence has  been 
issued to anyone.

The access to Europa is forbidden except  under special authorisation.

As a reminder, Europa and the other islands of the Iles  éparses are now 
under the authority of the French Austral and Antarctic  Territories 
authority, which has in charge the following :
Terre Adélie  : FT5Y
Crozet :  FT5W
Amsterdam :  FT5Z
Kerguelen :  F5TX
Glorieuses :  FT5G
Tromelin :  FT5T
Europa : FT5E
Juan de Nova : FT5J,

The FR5/G, /T, /E, /J blocks of prefixes no longer exist; Didier, F5OGL, 
QSL manager of the TO5E 2003, EUROPA will not answer the cards for this 
so  so activity in 2012.

Depuis  quelques jours, on signale une station TO4E qui émettrait depuis
Europa (24 et  25 mars sur 20 et 15 mètres). C’est peut-être un 
pirate. En
effet, cet indicatif  (ainsi que TO4WW) a déjà été donné à une 
expédition que j’
ai organisée en 2003  et nul ne peut désormais émettre avec ce call (du
moins si l’administration  tient ses fichiers à jour). Une erreur de 
l’agence
des fréquences est toutefois  possible mais serait surprenante….
De toute  façon, une station qui émettrait depuis Europa ne pourrait le
faire qu’avec le  préfixe FT5E car, depuis 2007, ce sont les TAAF qui 
gèrent
les indicatifs sur  les îles Eparses comme dans le reste des terres 
australes
et antarctiques  françaises.
