    1A0C: numbers!

Four days spent in apnea, with little or no sleep. The team operated in
shifts, while the enthusiasm and knowledge to be needed knowing that in
a very short time we needed to have a lot of QSOs to make this DXCC has
revealed us circumstances unthinkable before.

The Villa of the Order of Malta on Aventine Hill is a bit of paradise
overlooking the capital Rome, not only upstream but also a part of its
history. Since World Heritage we had to set up the antennas and five
stations, taking great care not to damage anything and to respect the
peace of the place.

But this did not cause any problems in being able to make nearly 41,000
QSOs in four days, maintaining an average of 10,000 QSOs per day,
needless to say, important numbers.Overall we had four stations on the
air at any given time on the HF bands and one dedicated to 6 meters, a
band that gave a good 2124 QSOs with sporadic E openings to the States
as well.

The team consisted of: Giorgio 1A0X, Francesco 1A0Z, Roberto EA2RY,
Antonio EA5RM, Manuel EA7AJR, Jose Ramon EA7KW, Flo F5CWU, Gabriele
I2VGW, Fabrizio IN3ZNR, Pasquale IZ8IYX, Hans PB2T, Les SP3DOI.
After four days at S.M.O.M. we have been active from the station at the
Pontifican Lateran University HV5PUL for two days.
