Dan.
Happy to hear you have acquired a beam - the mosley TA-33 works quite well as I
have used them in the past. As far as u-bolts are concerned you should be able
to find a suitable part at Home Depot. Typically those u-bolts are classified
by pipe sizes, so a 1-1/2 pipe OD is 1.96" and therefore results in a clamp
suitable for 2" boom. Saddle clamps are a little tougher to find, but most
Muffler shops will have a variety of sizes. The main problem is most are
unplated raw steel. However some may have stainless clamps (for appearance
reasons) on the exterior stacks of. If you have a marine supply source in the
area you may find stainless steel u-bolts. Also in this area ACE hardware
carries a broader line of U-bolts then does HD.

Subject: [SFDXA] Mosely U-Bolt & Saddle Clamp
Lucky, am I, to have acquired a used Mosely TA-33 Tri Bander. And although the
measured dimensions are a bit strange, I am anxious to mount it on my newly
erected tower and take some SWR measurements. Which brings me to a need I have
to accomplish the elevation. Does anyone have two 2" x 3"(+) x 5/16" U-Bolt and
companion saddle clamp that they can make available? I will need two of them for
the mast to boom attachment and will be more than happy to pay a fair and
reasonable fee. Please reply to this email or contact me direct (see below).
