Hello Southeastern Division ARRL members,

Here is some updated information on upcoming events and interesting
ARRL items.

It's hard to believe that Orlando HamCation is almost here. The 2012
Northern Florida Section Convention, HamCation, is next weekend,
February 10-12th.  At HamCation we will be presenting the ARRL
Foundation 2011 Bill Orr Technical Writing Award to Kai Siwiak, KE4PT,
of Coral Springs, FL. The ARRL Division forum will be held at 10AM, and
the ARRL Northern Florida Section forum starts at 11:15AM.

Come by the ARRL booth to meet us, renew your membership or say just
hi. We hope to see you there. Click http://www.hamcation.com for all
HamCation information.

Plan to attend these upcoming Conventions and events:
Dalton Georgia Hamfest, February 25
Alabama Section Convention, BirminghamFest, March 3-4
Southern Florida Section Convention, Stuart Hamfest, March 17
2012 National Hurricane Conference, Hilton Orlando, March 26-29

The Southeastern Division web site contains activities and information
that pertain to the entire Division.  The web site lists all State and
Section Conventions, special events, QSO parties, and more. Check out
the contest clubs, work the QSO parties and remember to send in your
log.  Click www.southeastern.arrl.org for Southeastern Division
information.

We keep a list of every Division tailgate and hamfest that we know
about at: www.southeastern.arrl.org/SE_hamfest_2012.htm
Some hamfest dates are from last year and shown in red, so send in your
updates as soon as you can, to give your event the most exposure
possible.

Digital QST is planned to roll out in the summer and will be available
to you at no extra charge and in addition to your mailed QST.  You must
be logged in to the ARRL website, "members only" area to receive the
electronic version. Go ahead and click http://www.arrl.org/Users/login
to check that you can log in, and update your membership information if
needed.

ARRL Logbook of The World continues to grow in users and number of
contacts. You can electronically upload your log and then track and
request certificates for your DXCC, VUCC, and WAS awards.  Soon, you
will be able to do the same for CQ-sponsored operating awards.  It is
fun to watch your contact confirmations show up. It also allows you to
upload your QSO party and contest logs.
