One thing that everyone has to watch out are "keygrabbers."  They are small
programs that usually come from a virus or malware and hook into the
keyboard servicing routine.  They send all typed letters to a server
somewhere.  Best reactive action is to scan your computer for any malware
and/or viruses and THEN change your password.  As previously mentioned, one
of their methods is to spoof your email address.  Another is to use a "bot"
and log onto your email account and send email from there using your
hacked/stolen password. If changing your password makes it stop for at least
a short time, then it's probably not spoofing but a legitimate hack.  In any
event it is still a good idea to change your password anyway.
