  Hornet ARC to conduct Remember Pearl Harbor Day event

    On Friday, 12/7/2012, station NB6GC in the USS Hornet Aircraft
    Carrier Museum will be on the air for contacts to remember the
    attack on Pearl Harbor, HI, on December 7, 1941. USS Hornet (CVS-12)
    is a WWII Aircraft Carrier launched in 1942 but our namesake was USS
    Hornet (CV-8) which was in the Pacific near Hawaii on Dec. 7, 1941.
    NB6GC operates from a compartment just below the flight deck of
    CVS-12 and uses several of the ship's original transmitting antennas.

    Operations will use SSB and PSK-31 on the HF bands from 1100 PST to
    1700 PST. Frequencies (MHZ) will be 7.212, 14.312, 21.312, and 28.312.
