[SFDXA] Dayton DX Dinner

Yet another year that I am planning on skipping the dx dinner in Dayton
(got other plans already for that night), but if you are going to Dayton,
you should plan to attend it:

The SOUTHWEST OHIO DX Association (SWODXA) is pleased to announce that we
will again sponsor the
DX Dinner ™, held in conjunction with the 2012 Dayton Hamvention®. This,
our 27th annual dinner, will
be on Friday, May 18, 2012. The dinner will again be at the Dayton
Marriott, 1414 S. Patterson Blvd.,
Dayton, OH 45409.
There will be a cash bar starting at 5:30 p.m., with dinner served at 7:00.
Following the meal, there will
be a separate room and cash bar available for more fellowship. This is an
excellent opportunity to meet
new hams and renew old acquaintances, as well as learn about past
DXpeditions and those in the
planning stages.
We were pleased with our new venue at the Marriott last year. The dining
room is on the ground floor
so there are no steps, there is a larger capacity, and there is plenty
free, on‐site parking.
This dinner is always well attended by some of the most avid DXers in the
world. As in the past, there
will be some major door prizes, and there is always great anticipation as
to who will be named the
“DXpedition of the Year”.
The Marriott is a large hotel with many room choices. Should you need

For dinner reservations, print the reservation form, complete, and mail
with your check or money order,
payable to SWODXA, to Tom Inglin, 142 Apgar Dr., Loveland, OH 45140. Be
sure to include a SASE for
ticket return. Tickets are $42 each, payable in US funds.
Be sure to indicate your meal choice when tickets are ordered.
We are happy to announce that this year we are also accepting PayPal and
credit card payments. For
those reservations and payments are made electronically, you will receive a
confirmation by email. The
seat assignment will then be sent to you in early April. Each table seats
ten, and seats are assigned as
the requests are received. We attempt to honor group seating requests when
tickets are ordered
together.
