[SFDXA] Sept 7 meeting

Thanks to all who came to the meeting last week, and special thanks to  Julio WD4R for his interesting presentation on his activities at the hurricane center.  Very cool that the hurricane center also provides assistance with earthquakes and other types of disasters.  Julio's Haiti photos were unforgettable.

Enjoyed talking with our new and old members.  Glad to hear from Pete N8PR that K4FK has a working 2 meter rig again and that our Echolink has a functioning computer and radio (thanks to those who loaned the club equipment until we got our own).  Looking forward to the dinner announced by Ed N4II for super-DXer  Vladimir Bykov, UA4WHX.  Very sorry to hear that Steve W4DTA, former club president and still now one of our board members, is leaving the area for a great new job, we'll have to throw a going-away bash for him.

All in all, a fun meeting, if you missed it hope to see you in November.
