[South Florida DX Association] Moderate Geomagnetic Storming

Sunspot group #11164 located near N25E19 is very large and contains a

twisted magnetic signature of beta-gamma-delta that is capable of producing
X class solar flares. As it is earth facing (geoeffective) future solar
flares and associated coronal mass ejections (CME), as well as elevated
energetic proton storms (>10 MeV) and geomagnetic storming (Kp-6) could
wreck the whole HF spectrum.

In the past 24 hour period a high speed coronal wind stream from large
recurrent northern hemisphere coronal hole #438(435) impacted earth's
magnetic field and spawned a moderate (Kp-6) geomagnetic storm event. This
reduced the maximum usable frequency to under the 15 meter band.

Unsettled (Kp-4) geomagnetic conditions to minor (Kp-5) geomagnetic storming
conditions are expected during the next 24 hour period.
