Thanks to all the kind folks who responded to my earlier plea for help 
after my Icom706 sustained lightning damage.
With a reference from Bill Marx, I  contacted Chris, VE3NGW, here in 
Broward County.
Chris repaired  the radio,  re-aligned it, and brought it back into 
spec. Thanks Chris!
Thanks also to Irwin W for his IC706 loaner radio.
