[South Florida DX Association] Broward ARES/RACES Meeting - Tuesday, January 18, 2011, EM Net & New Traders Net 1-19-2011

Hello Everyone,

 

Hope each of you had a good holiday season.

 

It’s time for our first Broward County ARES/RACES meeting of the year.  The meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 7:30 pm at the Davie Police Department located at 1230 S. Nob Hill Road.  The Police Department is just south of I-595 on Nob Hill Road on the east side of the street.  Park in back of the building on the far east side and enter the building at the east door.

 

Rob Frailing, AJ4SB, ARES Assistant Emergency Coordinator for Training, has a great meeting planned as usual.  He will be discussing the Incident Command System and go over the rules we must follow in the event of a deployment.

 

Feel free to invite a guest!  We’ll see you there!

 

Also, on every Wednesday night starting at 7:00 PM Broward County ARES & RACES hold the Broward County Emergency Preparedness Net (BCEPN) the Broward Amateur Radio Club’s 146.910 MHz PL 110.9 Hz. -600 Repeater.  The purpose of this net is to provide training in communications.  We encourage all amateur radio operators to check-in and participate in this net.
