SFDXA MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT
The next meeting of the South Florida DX Association will
be held on Wednesday evening, March 2, at the Florida Medical
Center (FMC) Auditorium at 5000 West Oakland Park Blvd. in Lauderdale
Lakes (adjacent to the Florida Turnpike). Members and guests will gather
at 6:00 PM for our bi-monthly fixed-price dinner ($7 per person). As usual,
our meeting program will begin at 7:33 PM.
Our program will feature Bill Rafus, KD4FRB who will discuss amateur
radio satellite technology. Bill has been the AMSAT Area
coordinator for South Florida for over 12 years. Bill has been involved with teaching and assisting Amateur Radio Operators with basic and advanced
satellite earth-station setup and operation. Bill assisted in the construction of AMSAT OSCAR-40 and in building the amateur antennas currently in use aboard the International Space Station for the ARISS amateur radio program.
I look forward to seeing each of you on March 2 at
FMC.
73,
Bill NZ5N
SFDXA President
