The next SFDXA meeting will be Wednesday, January 4, 2012, 7:30pm, at the Florida Medical Center auditorium in Oakland Park.  Come before 7pm and have dinner with us, just $7 and all proceeds go the the club.Our speaker for the January 4 meeting will be Sebastian Acosta, W4AS, who will explain how to work more DX using a software defined radio (SDR):

"Debunking
 how amateur radio is a rich man's hobby; spend less than the cost of a 
pair of coax jumpers and acquire a software defined radio.

Instead
 of sitting and listening to white noise in the DX window, bring down 
the audio and glance at your monitor and ignore the DX cluster.

Who says hams don't build anymore?  Build a software defined radio in a couple of afternoons.
