This is really sad news - Jim was my first Afghan QSO of this new era- worked 
him on 20 CW with lots of EU QRM.  I was surprised to see just a few days later 
a letter from him with T6AF QSL inside. I also had a couple of RTTY contacts 
that were quickly confirmed by LoTW.
