Thanks to several kind donations of member time and equipment, our club repeater K4FK will soon be on Echolink. You will be able to work our repeater from anywhere in the world, through your iPhone, Android phone, or computer. And your ham friends in other parts of the world will be able to call you on K4FK.

The link has been set up at the QTH of Pete N8PR, the trustee of K4FK. Testing began this evening, with Bill W2CQ and I making the first Echolink QSOs on the club repeater. While we were testing, KB9TRO in Indiana broke in and gave us our first DX.

There are still some set-up issues that need work, and we need a few people to get on via Echolink in the next week or so to provide feedback to Pete while he has the link turned on. If you are interested in being part of the test group, please drop me an email with your phone number.
