KCRA annual 9/11 memorial event

The KCRA annual 9/11 memorial station on the air will take place this year on
Friday September 10th 2010 from 13:00z to 23:00z (9am-7pm). This year's location
is Battery Park, just a short walk from Ground Zero and the World Trade Center
site.

If you would like to help with setup, breakdown, or participate on site in this
event, contact the club at info at kc2ra.org or call 917-727-6430 and leave a
message. The club will be trying some new modes such as D-Star and PSK31 for
this event. Echolink stations will also be invited to participate.

Frequencies, and modes are as follows:

Traditional voice

7.250 LSB
14.295 USB

Data

14.070 PSK31
Operation will toggle between voice and data on 20m.

D-Star

We will be connected to reflector 20B (REF020B) via the WG2MSK D-Star repeater.
Many thanks to Scott and Randy for the use of the reflector. D-Star users may
connect to the reflector, the WG2MSK repeater, or call sign route to KC2RA. If
your local repeater is not "open" (allowing you to select a reflector), use call
sign routing, it's actually quite easy, please announce you are CS routing when
calling.

Echolink

Echolink users are welcome to participate as well, please connect to KC2RA-R
(node 64300), and disconnect after contact.

QSL information

A commemorative memorial QSL card is available. D-Star and Echolink users must
use RF (a radio, not a computer) on their end to be eligible, cards will be
marked D-Star or Echolink.

If you have contacted us on the air during this event and would like a QSL card
please send your card along with a self-addressed stamped envelope (DX stations
send 1 IRC) to:

Kings County Repeater Association
