[South Florida DX Association] K4FK station repairs

Bill,

I never hear much in the afternoon, either. I think of it as the DXer's nap time, to prepare for the late-night low band openings.

My best success for Asia has been in the morning, from about 8-10 or so on 20m (and about an hour later on 17m), with a secondary opening in the evening, just before 20m closes. Propagation issues aside, I think the morning opening is better because it's evening in Asia, and there's more DX on (more activity) in their evenings, plus there's less stateside competition in the morning than in the evening.

Ed.

What time of day is best for Asia? I was at K4FK last week in the afternoon and did not hear much.
