Hi everyone,

Special thanks to those who volunteered to be listed for ARES communications
assignments in Haiti. There are hams assisting in Haiti now but there have
not been any SFL ARES assignments.

Next month there will be 2 hamfests with tailgating, forums, DXCC Award QSL
checking,and testing.
On March 13 - Palm Beach County Radio Ham Fest, for details visit:
www.palmswestradio.org.
On March 20 - Stuart Hamfest, for details visit: www.mcaraweb.com

Many clubs in the section are reviving their newsletters. This is a great way
to stay in touch with members who cannot attend every meeting. To boost club
membership send a copy of the newsletter with an invitation to attend the
next meeting to new hams and to non-members.

Kudos to Assistant Section Manager Warren Rothberg, W4WR for his article in
the March issue of QST.

Many groups are providing communications for Public Service events. Don't
forget to list your events at: http://www.yahoo.groups.com/group/SFLPSE
Posting events here is a good way to reach those volunteers that miss a
meeting or a net and do not hear about the need for volunteers.
