Have you written to Senator Nelson?
The US Senate is considering a bill which would increase the deductible
charitable mileage allowance from 14 cents per mile to 55 cents. Many
volunteers provide their time and vehicles in support of charitable
organizations. Passage of this bill will assist those volunteers who
use their vehicles in this manner. Send/fax a letter or email to
Senator Bill Nelson who is on the Senate finance committee considering
this bill. Passage of this bill will greatly assist our many dedicated
volunteers. Thanks for your help.
Be a good community partner and pass this information along to all
non-profits and faith-based groups that you have connections with. We
are all trying to find more volunteers and this extra deduction could
mean someone volunteers a few more hours.
