[South Florida DX Association] Russian DXer Experience

By chance I went to the QRZ site with the look up of UA6JD. Although I think he
is soliciting Web site design, his story regarding his experience and that of a
friend is interesting. The English is convoluted, but understandable and covers
a his experience in ham radio beginning in the 60's. Of note are the few calls
of US hams that were influential in shaping his interest in ham radio.

Those of us who have been around a while I think will relate to Vlad and
friend's DX experience of the 60's and 70's, and the familiar names in DX of the
period. Note the lament regarding operating habits of hams in recent times.

Finally click on the photo of the "shack", I don't think I have ever seen a
display of awards as large as Vlad's.

I hope you find this as interesting as I did.
