SFDXA MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT

 

 

The next meeting of the South Florida DX Association will be held on
Wednesday evening, November 4, at the Florida Medical Center (FMC)
Auditorium at 5000 West Oakland Park Blvd. in Lauderdale Lakes (adjacent to
the Florida Turnpike). 

 

SPECIAL NOTE:  Members and guests will gather at 6:00pm at the far end of
the cafeteria (this month only) for our bi-monthly fixed-price dinner ($7
per person). Due to an FMC executive meeting being held in the auditorium
prior to our meeting, we must wait until that group vacates the auditorium
around 6:30pm before entering. 

 

Our featured program this month will be a video presentation of the 2008
VK9X DXpedition to Christmas Island. Christmas Island is located in the
Indian Ocean between western Australia and Indonesia. It ranks 66th on the
Most Wanted Country List and is perhaps the most distant island on Earth
from South Florida. Don't miss this outstanding video!

 

Nominations for SFDXA officers and directors for 2010 will also be accepted
at our November meeting which traditionally serves as our organization's
annual meeting.
