Fellows:

Thanks to all those who took time to reply to inquiry.  The response was overwhelming: reviews, manual, comments. From what I read, the AL-82 is a good (may be the best)  HF amplifier with a pair of 3-500Z in the marked and the price is reasonable (or is it the only?)  The lowest price I found is $2375.  
BTW, I owned one Heathkit SB-220, two Drake L4B's and one Amp Supply LK-550 (I believe this was the model--it had three  3-500Z's).
