[South Florida DX Association] SFDXA April 29 net

We had 12 check-ins at Wednesday night's SFDXA weekly net...
Participating in the net were:W3AZD,WB3ANE,N4RU,KI4WDQ,W2CQ,WA4WTG,W4DL,KI4IQZ,N4IEW,NZ5N,W4DTA AND W4EMM.

Topics and discussions during the session included: many of the check-ins were happy with  the good buys and prices that were available at Saturday's Cy Harris Free Flea-a good selection of radios,tools and antennas for both hams and their kids; four check-ins participated in the Florida QSO Party and mentioned that although not participating to get a high score,they were glad to give some dx stations an opportunity to make a "Florida" contact; and...according to one check-in,the consumption of tomatoes,due to the good growing season or good taste had left a balance of zero...
The next free flea will be on November 14 at the same location...

FYI...Although many may know the following I thought this would be good information for any new dx enthusiasts...if you go to ARRL site and search "ARRL CONTEST UPDATE NEWSLETTER"-then go to "HF CONTESTS"-here you can get, what I believe is, a most comprehensive and complete listing of contests along with each contest's "RULES"...

Next Wednesday the SFDXA net will not be held...instead of going to 147.33 please join us  at the dinner  meeting at the Florida Medical Center's auditorium beginning at 6:00 pm... hope 2 c u...
