Thanks for more info, Terry. The Ford I have had tint and/or stuff in the glass that prevent any mounting on the glass.  Auto industry (what ever is left of it) doesn't like hams!

  I mount dual band through the glass 2/440 antennas on the side panel window.
  I did a comparison between a full size two meter Hamstick and the through
  the glass antenna and found both transmitted equally well, but the through
  the glass was much much quieter, less engine hash.
