[South Florida DX Association] Gasoline Shortage

Please excuse the non-DX subject of this E-mail.

While speaking to several friends and relatives up and down the East coast 
in the past two days I learned that there really is a apparent shortage of 
gasoline and/or price gouging taking place. That information combined with 
the evening news tonight, which mentioned the same news has me really 
surprised. To be exact the news on TV reported that the so called crunch or 
gouging is taking place in half of the Country.

Because we get a large portion our fuel from ships bringing their cargo into 
Port Everglades, I think for the most part we have been lucky here in South 
Florida so far. However, it would be prudent to keep your auto's gas tank at 
least one-half filled at a minimum. We might wake up any day now and find 
many stations out of fuel. If your going on a trip, check the route and 
where you will be stopping to fill up.
