SFDXA MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT

The next meeting of the South Florida DX Association will be held on
Wednesday evening, January 9, at the Florida Medical Center (FMC) Auditorium
in Lauderdale Lakes (Oakland Park Blvd. adjacent to the Florida Turnpike).
Members and guests will gather at 6:00pm for our bi-monthly dinner ($7 per
person). As usual, our meeting will begin a 7:33pm.

Our featured presentation this month is entitled "Low Profile DXing". QST
contributing author Kai Siwiak, KE4PT, will outline how he was able to
skillfully work over 130 countries from his home in South Florida using 100
watts output and an indoor antenna. Kai's presentation is based on his award
winning article "An All Band Attic Antenna" which appeared in October 2007
QST magazine. His presentation will be of special interest to DX enthusiasts
who have modest stations or who live in antenna restricted areas. Don't miss
it!

Those of you who are FULL members of SFDXA be receiving an Election
Announcement by email no later than January 3rd. Separately, you will also
be receiving your personal 2008 SFDXA ballot within the next few days by
regular (USPS) mail. Please watch for it and immediately return your
completed ballot to the SFDXA Secretary (Gil - W1RG) as instructed. You can
either mail it to Gil or hand-deliver your sealed ballot envelope to Gil at
our upcoming meeting on January 9. Whichever method you choose, all
completed ballots need to be in Gil's hands no later than January 9 in order
for your vote to be counted.

I look forward to seeing each of you on January 9th at FMC.

73,

Ray - N4RU

SFDXA President
