[South Florida DX Association] Portable Repair (was HT Repair)

ok. here's the final update. despite my repeated attempts to get information 
from them, Portable Repair has not answered any of my multiple emails. so, 
although ymmv, I'll be taking my matched set of HT's and Desk Chargers to 
Melbourne in October. If anyone wants these for parts, I have the Yaesu 109, 
209 and 709 all with individual disk chargers and hand speaker/mics. I also 
have an AEA "Hot Rod" for two of them. They all have the optional PL chips 
and they all need new battery cells. I also have two AA battery cases for 
them. The 220 works fine, I can't close the squelch on 2 meters and 440 has 
no volume.

At this point, it looks like Portable Repair may be the only option for
HT's. I am going to write them today and ask for the background and
qualifications of their repair tech. References, too, if they will give me
any. And I will post the results here.
