Hi Norm,

On June 24, 1994 I had a QSO with the first DX-pedition to BS7. I still
believe that the operation should have been accepted. Now that I think more
about it, that was a fairly easy contact. The Internet spotting was not as
sophisticated as it is now. I believe the club had it's packet system in
operation and when two meters was open we had a northern group feeding us
spots. Some weeks we had about the same number of spots as we do now on via
the Internet in about one hour or so. But, as they say, "I digress."

I had a semi guaranteed "maybe" on 5/1/07 and a positive "good one" on
5/2/07. Hearing the opr say "252" or maybe it was "253" real fast after he
finished a couple of contacts led me to see what was happening up on 14.252.
What did I find you ask? A moderate number of guys politely calling in a
very small spread. I worked him right after PeteR, K8PR. Albeit on a
slightly different frequency.

All of my Q's were on SSB.

Good Luck to those who still need them. For those who don't get through on
this trip, may the conditions be better on the next one.

73 & Good DX,

Leon, (K2EWB)
