Good News though --- I checked the propagation programs, and in the latter
parts of April when the BS7 will be on:
40 Meters 1000 Z Gray line extends from South Florida directly over BS7 and
it is right on the short path line !
20 Meters 133030 Z good propagation predicted to BS7
17 meters 2200 Z ditto

PS: we will probably reorient the 40 meter dipole at FMC to be broadside to
the 330 degree path if anyone wants to go up and try to work the BS7 at 6
AM.

March 10, 2006: It's official: Solar minimum has arrived. Sunspots have all
but
vanished. Solar flares are nonexistent. The sun is utterly quiet.
Like the quiet before a storm.
This week researchers announced that a storm is coming--the most intense
solar
maximum in fifty years. The prediction comes from a team led by Mausumi
Dikpati
of the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). "The next sunspot
cycle
will be 30% to 50% stronger than the previous one," she says. If correct,
the
years ahead could produce a burst of solar activity second only to the
historic
Solar Max of 1958.
