Ok - Last week I was curious to see if anyone else but myself was crazy for
working, IOTAs, Fields, 5BWAZ, etc. Here's what I received from others:
5BWAZ: N8PR did it: N4WW is at 199 and W4UM is at 198, and we have been
there for more than 10 years and will probably ALWAYS be there. Look at it
this way: at least Austin and I are remembered as we still make the list in
CQ Magazine each month - Pete does not!
Grids: Again, N8PR leads with 208 mixed. W4UM has 196 mixed and 188 CW.
Mark, K2AU has 177 mixed and 128 CW.
IOTAS: N8PR has ZERO 'cause he refuses to play (I'm still working on him
though). Doc, N4WW, has about 450. K0LUZ, is seriously thinking about
getting started (get started, Red!). Mike, W4UM, has 378. Tony, N2MFT has
207. Tony gave one of the most compelling reasons to chase IOTAS: "Gets me
to the places I will never visit in this world."
There you have it - anyone else wanna join in? There is an IOTA Contest
28-29 July. Last year, I was the only FCG entry. Doesn't FCG work ALL
contests? K1PT and I are talking about driving over the bridge to
Hutchinson Island (IOTA NA-141) and setting up a portable station for the
contest. There are 15 IOTA island in Florida alone! Anyone else wanna have
fun?
