[South Florida DX Association] Force 12 - V-84 Tornado Flagpole Antenna

The Force 12 flagpole is an effective stealth antenna and is a solution for
many people who live in restricted areas, while allowing us to be patriotic.
The Force 12 flagpole antenna is a large diameter aluminum pole that is the
actual antenna.  This 28' flagpole is made in 6' sections, with a base
section that goes into the ground for installation.  This 28' tall flagpole
is available separately or can be equipped with the V-84 Tornado motor
drive, which remotely tunes the flagpole across the entire 80/75 meter bands
with a low VSWR. The Tornado drive is superior to the "screw-drive" type of
tuning system. The Tornado does not use a wiper contact that can arc over.
The huge coil inside is physically expanded and contracted to change the
inductance of the coil and thereby changing the frequency. When the coil is
moved to full compression, an internal plunger switch is engaged and shorts
out the coil. The flagpole is then a full size ¼ wavelength vertical on 40
meters and it covers the entire band. Higher bands can be accessed using an
external tuner when the V-84 is in the 40 meter position.  The antenna has
been green powder coated (cost me an additional $175) at the factory to
better blend in.  It has a Nylon lanyard with cleat and pulley for raising
and lowering a flag.  There is a gold ball on the top.  The Tornado motor
drive is cleverly concealed in a large tube which is attached to the base
and looks like a storage compartment for a flag.  Your neighbors will never
know!  This is brand new in the box, never assembled.  I received this about
12 months ago but no longer need to be stealth.  Check this out at
