[South Florida DX Association] DX Dinner Bash

To Members & Friends of the South Florida DX Community,

The South Florida DX Association (SFDXA) is pleased to announce that Bill 
Beyer (N2WB) will be the featured guest speaker at our next gathering which 
will be our annual DX Dinner Bash on Wednesday, May 23 (which is being held 
in lieu of our regular meeting previously scheduled for May 2).

Bill's presentation on May 23 will include the premier South Florida showing 
of the professionally edited 3Y0X video of his team's operation from 3Y0X on 
Peter One Island. Peter One, located in the Antarctic Circle, is so remote 
and rarely visited that more people have flown in space than have set foot 
on Peter One. In addition to the Peter One DXpedition, Bill Beyer has 
participated in 25 other major DXpeditions to rare locations. In 2007, Bill 
was part of the XT2C team that operated from Burkino Faso in Africa.

Our annual DX Dinner Bash will be held in a private banquet room at the 
Cantina Laredo Restaurant, 811 South University Drive, Plantation, Florida 
(a stand-alone restaurant located on the perimeter of The Fountains Mall 
between I-595 and Broward Blvd. on the west side of University Drive). The 
Cantina Laredo is a gourmet Mexican restaurant that also serves some 
traditional American fare.

Our May 23rd gathering will begin with a social hour, including cash bar, 
starting at 6:30pm with final dinner ordering by 7:00pm. Dinner will be 
served at 7:30pm with the Peter One presentation to follow. Door prizes will 
be awarded. We strongly recommend that you arrive early so that you can 
place your dinner order upon arrival, thereby facilitating an orderly dinner 
service.

As an added bonus, we will also have a "surprise" visitor from the American 
Radio Relay League (ARRL), at our May 23rd event. Don't miss it!

Because seating is strictly limited and because we expect a sellout crowd, 
it is imperative that you make known your intention to attend in advance.

him with your name and that of any guests who may accompany you. Bill will 
also be able to address any unanswered questions that you may have about the 
event.
