We are looking for a few good men.
Sunday April 15th at 9 AM we will need some help at FMC to fix the TH-11
antenna on the tower.
We need to tip the antenna and reinstall the Balun in its proper location,
at the front end of the Log Cell that is the driven element section of the
antenna.
It is suspected, that since we put it at the wrong end (20 M end not the 10
M end) that the impedance mismatch is all that is wrong with the antenna.
After that balun installation, we can place the boom level and re-orient the
antenna in line with the rotor.
Not a lot of help is needed, just a few strong backs to pull on a rope so
that we can hoist the boom up a bit using the gin pole. We will need to
lift one side of the boom and later lower it, while Randy and Gil are up the
tower.
Any Takers? 5-6 others is all we need. Bring water to drink.
Thanks, PeteR
