That news is sad, but it seems to be the way of the world. HF transmitting
sites are very costly to maintain, and if the listener base is not there,
the cost is increasingly hard to justify.

Countries which ban satellite-dish ownership also generally prohibit the
possession of shortwave receivers. But a shortwave radio is a lot easier to
conceal than a dish.

We get the BBC TV News twice daily via cable.
