Sorry about that, Pete. I was still running Windows 98 when I took
them out of service; I went to wide band and installed Windows XP, and
I had no way to test them. I am a little surprised that the US
Robotics external wouldn't work, the only dependence it has on the
computer is the communications protocol, which hasn't changed.
Anyway, hang on to the two external ones and I will make arrangements
to pick them up. Dump the internal one.
The trip went well. Nine of the class have died, and I already knew
about them, so there were no unpleasant surprises. I stopped by
Amateur Electronic Supply and picked up an Icom 2720H, but it is not
installed yet because of a connector incompatibility. I think I am
going to bite the bullet and convert everything to Anderson
PowerPole. I also got a G5RV that I am going to put up as an NVIS.
So the rehabilitation continues.
