Repeater Report: October 17, 2006 1330 Hrs

I Installed a Receiver preamp today. This preamp is made by Motorola and is
specifically designed for our receiver. It mechanically plugs directly into
the receiver's front end helical resonator chain between stages 3 & 4. We
now have a 6dB improvement in sensitivity over what we had up until now.

This is not magic, it's 6 dB. It will "fill" in some of the holes that we
had and in effect increase coverage somewhat. If you still try to access
the repeater with 6 nanowatts at a distance of 60 miles, you will still not
"get in."

The repeater went through an entire PM check.
