FYI...

The FCC has released the text of their R&O concerning "refarming" of
the Novice Subbands to provide more spectrum for phone and other
wideband emissions. The text of the R&O can be found here:

The relevant part starts at the bottom of page seven of the document,
and continues for several more pages.

The new rules will not take effect, I'm told, until 30 days following
the publication of the R&O to the federal register, which will not be
for a few days, and perhaps as late as Monday.

The Big changes are to lower 80 M SSB freqs for Extra to 3725 KHz 
and 40 M SSB to 7125 KHz Other licenses will adjust as well.
