[South Florida DX Association] Redux

Having heard nothing from my first request, I=92ll try it one more time =
(out
of desperation). I have a late model TS-940 in terrific working condx
(serial number 20500105 =96 May 1990) and have decided that after =
working 291
countries on it (LP), that I=92m going to keep it running as long as =
possible.
I believe I need a new volume pot. Tuner cleaner has not worked. I =
adjust
for volume and then all incoming sounds disappear intermittently. Touch =
the
volume pot and it=92s back. I have called or emailed every parts dealer =
I can
find on the web and the answer is always the same: This part is no =
longer
available.

Has anyone had a similar problem? Is it, in fact, the volume pot? If so,
where can I get one? If I can=92t get parts to support this radio, then =
I may
have no other choice than to sell my 940 and trade up. I would hate to =
do
that. This radio has lived in my house longer than my cats.
