Hi Ed,

Have you tried just using the built in antenna tuner, (if there is one) or a 
small external tuner? There is a reason for the power cutting off.

Hi Gang just picked up Icom 746 pro.

is there a way I can adjust the tolerance of the swr protection tolerance. 
at a swr of 1.5.1 the power drops down to 60 percent.. Thats super 
sensitive..On all bands..

any input appreciated
