Gerald Brunning, 65! 
JAN.  3,  1940-DEC. 25, 2005 
Gerald Brunning, 65, of Bloomington, formerly of  Chicago,  Illinois, died
December 25 at the Indiana University Hospital  in  Indianapolis. 
Jerry retired from Motorola, Inc. in Schaumburg,  Illinois, in  April of 1996.
He was Corporate Vice-President and General  Manager of the  Components Group.
He had been an employee of the company  for 31 years. 
He  served as a radio operator in the United States Air  Force from 1958 to
1962.  He was stationed overseas in Japan and Spain.  
Jerry, K9BG, was an avid ham  radio operator for many years. He was a  member
of the Northern Illinois DX  Association, and the First Class CW  Operators
Club. 
He is survived by his  wife, Darlene Gerster; his  son, Jerry Brunning, and
his wife, Jennifer, and  their two children,  Graham and Olivia of Northbrook,
Illinois; his daughter,  Lisa Kaplan,  and her husband, Rob, and their son,
Niko, of Boulder, Colorado;  two  sisters, Patricia Trulove and K! athy
Despota of Holiday, Florida; a   brother, John Brunning of Chicago, Illinois;
Jeanine Brunning; Cissy  McGinnis  Black. He was preceded in death by his
mother, Eileen Downes  Brunning, and  his father, Eugene Brunning. 
Memorial services are being  planned in Chicago,  Holiday, Florida, and
Bloomington. Information  about the services and  charitable organizations for
donations in his  memory may be obtained by  calling family members.
